[NNWM] SYOL - Chapter FourOrange woke up sweating, memories of drowning underwater fading rapidly as he sat up. It was over something really stupid, like a doughnut or something. Too many doughnuts for one day.[NNWM] SYOL - Chapter Four by *GreenSweatshirtGal
Turning off his alarm, Orange got ready for the day. Though it was only his second day living in the overlord’s dimension, he already felt like he had gone through the process a thousand times. He didn’t really mind it; Orange was very fond of routine.
The rest of the day yesterday had gone rather similarly in stark contrast to the first half of the day. He only got two more buzzes, one asking him to retrieve more printer paper and the other a request to deliver a box to someone on the other side of the building. Both tasks had gone swimmingly and absolutely ordinarily, allowing Orange to end the day with a clearer and more relaxed mind.
For a while, today picked up on the previous night’s mood. He did a few simple jobs that could have been completed by anyone who had been willing to pu

Orange looked down at his leg, which looked as though it had never been shot at by a giant panty-defending robot. Even his new pants were entirely repaired, which he hadn’t been expecting. He knew that healing was a pretty strange magic to begin with, but not so strange that he could predict the pink-haired healer being able to heal pants. But pants being healed was far from the strangest thing to have had happened today.
After having been attacked by a huge mech covered in bows that called itself The Protector of All Naughty Tailorings Beneath Outerwear and subsequently chased by an enraged girl-turned-monster thanks to being an unwilling part of a failed panty raid conducted by one of the overlord’s closest advisors, Flann had helped Orange over to the hospital to get his damaged prosthetic fixed. He was very quickly escorted to a room, bandaged, and told to wait momentarily. Momentarily had been a poor word choice: Orang
[NNWM] SYOL - Chapter TwoThough Orange was now working for an (ostensibly) evil overlord, he couldn’t say he was expecting his first job request to be about raising hell. What did that even mean? Was this the practical joking kind of hell-raising or did the caller mean literally raising hell? Given where he was it could plausibly be either, but one was considerably more possible for him to do than the other.[NNWM] SYOL - Chapter Two by *GreenSweatshirtGal
“Yes?” Orange replied, knowing he didn’t really have much of an option if he wanted to keep this job.
“Ha! Glad we’re on the same page. Then meet me in the Backalley Corridor ASAP.”
Before Orange could ask where the Backalley Corridor was, much less process how bizarrely ominous it sounded – the man on the other end hung up. He sat there in silence for a few seconds before bolting off to get ready to meet his first client. ASAP meant ASAP, so Orange was panicking as he ran out the door even though he had only taken five minutes to get ready. It wasn’t u
